PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT

At Greytown Football Club, we are committed to promoting a positive culture within our community, extending to all aspects of the game. As a player within our club, you play a pivotal role in upholding these standards and contributing to a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for all.

1. Respect for Referees and Officials:

We respect the authority of referees, officials, and their decisions at all times. Disagreeing with decisions is natural, but it must be done in a respectful manner. Only the team Captain should discuss issues or clarifications with the referee. Any form of dissent, whether verbal, physical, or by action, undermines the spirit of the game and will not be tolerated.

2. Fair Play:

We play by the rules and spirit of the game. We promote fair play over winning at any cost. Encourage and applaud good plays and efforts from both your team and the opponents.

3. Sportsmanship:

We win with grace, lose with dignity. Shake hands with opponents and referees at the end of each match, irrespective of the result.

4. Respect for All:

We treat everyone with respect, regardless of their role, age, gender, ability, cultural background, or religion. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, or any form of verbal or physical abuse will not be tolerated.

5. Teamwork and Cooperation:

We support, encourage and motivate your teammates at all times. Remember, football is a team sport and cooperation with your team enhances your enjoyment of the game.

6. Commitment to the Club:

We take pride in our club. Respect club facilities, equipment, and resources. Attend training and matches punctually and notify your coach or manager if unable to attend. We take pride in our collective identity and work to put the clubs interest ahead of individual teams interests.

7. Personal Conduct:

We behave in a manner that promotes the positive image of Greytown Football Club. Avoid conduct, both on and off the field, that may discredit yourself, your team, or the club.

8. Health and Wellbeing:

We take responsibility for your health and wellbeing. Avoid drugs, alcohol, and any other substances that can harm your performance and health.
