Greytown Football Club follows the Capital Football cancellation guidelines. For the latest fixture changes, please check our website or Facebook, as updates are typically made by 6:00pm on Fridays, with possible adjustments over the weekend due to weather changes.

Communication Methods:

• Social Media: Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for announcements.

• Team Group Chats: Team managers will relay information to players on team Whatsapp or Messenger group chats.

Ground Assessment and Closure Decisions: The grounds manager evaluates conditions based on weather, safety, and playability. Decisions on closures or partial access are made prioritising player safety and field conditions.

Prioritisation:

1. Competitive teams, due to league commitments.
2. Women's teams, given their earlier game times.
3. Local league teams, based on standings.

Updates and Reopening: Closure notices are issued 24 hours ahead for expected bad weather, or within an hour for sudden changes. Grounds are reopened once deemed safe, with prioritised teams getting early access.
